Both boys and girls teams had strong showings at the state meet today. They braved the elements to bring home some hardware. The girls team finished 5th overall. The Boys finished 4th overall. State medalist include Lexa Burtzlaff 8th, Garrett Winkler 7th and Ryan Hohenberger 22nd. Way to go Gators!

Parent/student meeting for the seniors that will be going on the senior trip will be held on Thursday, October 22 at 6:00pm in Mr. Vander Vorst’s room. Please plan to attend if you are interested in going on the trip. We will discuss the dates, location, and fundraising.
The middle school volleyball team traveled to spearfish for the spearfish tourney and did awesome! Both teams won both of their matches AND did it in 2 games each!
Our last game will be on Tuesday the 20th in the middle school gym. Come out and support these girls!
Congrats to the Newell Cross Country teams and Coach Sanderson!! The girls team is Region 8B Champs and the boys team is Runner-Up. All nine runners advance to state!! Great job kids and coach!

Newell School waivers and an application have been accepted for a USDA program that will allow enrolled K-12 students to receive one free breakfast AND one free lunch per day until this funding runs out. The hope is that the federal funding will be available until December 31, 2020. Newell School will still have to charge for the following: second/snack milks; second meals; pre-school students and Adult meals. There is no need for income guidelines to qualify. There will be a crediting of breakfast and lunch meals that were charged October 1, 2, 5 and 6 – only October meals are refundable.
