Newell School waivers and an application have been accepted for a USDA program that will allow enrolled K-12 students to receive one free breakfast AND one free lunch per day until this funding runs out. The hope is that the federal funding will be available until December 31, 2020. Newell School will still have to charge for the following: second/snack milks; second meals; pre-school students and Adult meals. There is no need for income guidelines to qualify. There will be a crediting of breakfast and lunch meals that were charged October 1, 2, 5 and 6 – only October meals are refundable.

The Newell middle school volleyball team traveled to Faith today for the LMC tournament. We had the luck of the draw and were able to take two teams today. The 8th grade team ended up in 6th place and 6th and 7th grade team ended up in 3rd!!! Awesome job today girls!

Parents and Community,
The Newell PTO would like to offer presale tickets for those of you who would like to attend the chili supper. The 5th, 6th, and 7th grade students are selling tickets to family members and neighbors. If you would like to buy a ticket you can send money to the school with a student and we will send the tickets back home with the student. There will be outdoor seating as well as indoor seating for social distancing. Please come enjoy a bowl of soup before the football game. We will be serving from 4:00 - 6:00
