Newell School District is renting out the weight room this year. If you are a prior member, the cost for membership will be $100 and the cost for new members will be $125. Membership ends June 30th, 2024, and if you are interested in getting a lease call the school at 605-456-2393. Hours that the weight room will be open to the public will be Monday thru Thursday and on days we have school – 5:00 am – 7:30 am: and 5:30 – 10:00 pm. Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and days that we do not have school-5:00 am – 10 PM.



There will be no HS Football game tomorrow, September 29th in Dupree.

Congratulations to Betty Bruner and Marlee Sais for winning the Irrigator Pride Award. The Irrigator Pride Award was started this year to recognize employees every month who display pride in their work. We have a great food service program at the Newell School District.

Greg Todd with the Newell VFW came and taught the 5th grade class about flag etiquette. The 5th graders are in charge of putting up and taking down the flag everyday. Thanks for your time Greg!

Congratulations to the lady irrigator volleyball team on placing 3rd at the LMC tournament today. They had a great day!


The HSFB game vs Lemmon/McIntosh will be starting late. The plan is to assess the potiential lighting at 6:00 and start around 6:15 or 6:30 when the lightening is past.

The National Honor Society Blood drive will be held here on Monday, September 25th. If you would like to donate, please call Kathy Lamphere at the high school office to set up a time that you would like, or you can scan the code on the attached flier and register yourself. The blood drive starts at 8:30 and the last appointment time is 2:15.
