Reminder the order of tonight's middle school basketball game vs. Spearfish will be changed. The 8th grade will play at 4:15 and 7th grade will follow.

If you would like to pre-order tickets for the SDHSAA state wrestling tournament held in Rapid City on Feb 22nd and 23rd, please let Mr. Phelps know at the school by Monday Jan. 28th. Tickets are $45 for reserved seats and $25 for student general admission. You can also buy tickets at the door. If you would like to pre-order I will need number of tickets as well as a check made out to the school which can be dropped off at the office. Results from day 2 of the Chadron invite. Chase and Caleb both finished 4th going 2-2. Marvin finished 6th going 3-3. Overall a good tournament.

Wrestling update from day 1 of the Chadron invite. Chase and Caleb both went 1-0 and will be in the semis tomorrow morning. Marvin went 2-1 and will be wrestling in the wrestlebacks tomorrow. Patrick ended the tournament 0-2.

Congratulations to the One-Act Play cast! Annie Miller and Abbie Nelson won superior performance awards, Caleb Mutchler and John Jackson also received nominations. Great job cast of Amelia Once More!
The Newell 4th and 8th grade will participate in the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) the end of January and beginning of February. Please look for for a note in your 4th or 8th graders backpack describing this is more detail. If you have questions feel free to contact Cara Muckridge at the school.

Dedication of Cross Country Banners
There will be a dedication of the SDHSAA state banners for both the Boys and Girls cross country team between the Girls and Boys Varsity basketball games Thursday, January 17. The approximate time will be 7:15.
