Patrick Hamling 2-2 3rd place @ 120
Chase VanDerBoom 4-1 2nd place @ 120
Caleb McGregor 4-0 1st place @ 160
Charlie Clements went 0-2 but gained valuable experience.
Hopefully next week we will be at full strength and continue to improve.

Good day for the wrestlers that competed today at the shortened Custer Invite. We were short a few wrestlers, but the 3 that competed represented Newell well. Results are as follows:
Patrick Hamling went 1-1 in the 120 round robin bracket.
Chase VanDerBoom went 2-1 good for 2nd at 120
Caleb McGregor went 2-1 good for 3rd at 160
The MS wrestling tourney in Rapid City for Saturday is CANCELLED.
Due to the impending weather the following events have been cancelled. The LMC MSGBB tourney scheduled for Saturday in Timber Lake is CANCELLED. The 3rd and 4th grade BB tourney in Faith is CANCELLED. Please continue to watch the Newell School Facebook and webpage for further updates.
A few minutes after 5 a.m. the fire alarm in the MS Gym area triggered. After investigation by myself, the custodians and the Newell Fire Department we found no source for the alarm. We are going to have an electrician come in today and inspect some areas of concern.

Change to calendar: NO MSWR in Harding Co. Tuesday, November 13 and on Thursday, November 15th the MSGBB game in Lead will be only one game, 6th and 7th grade.
The County Health Nurse will be at the school to give flu shots on Tuesday, November 20th from 1:30-3:00. If parents would like their children to get a flu shot, the forms are available in the Elementary/Middle School office or at https://5il.co/5lgf
The consent form will need to be completed and returned with a copy of the insurance card to the Elementary/MS Office.

The winter sports parents' meeting will be Thursday, November 8th. The meeting will be in the multipurpose room starting at 7:00. Please plan to attend if you have a HS student participating in girls basketball, boys basketball or wrestling.
