Great day for Newell track at the LMC in Lemmon. The girls team came home as conference champions and the boys team brought home 3rd! Lexa Burtzlaff was selected as the girls MVP as well! Great job to all the athletes. Payton Burtzlaff prequalified for state in the 200 meter dash and Liz Philipsen prequalified in shotput! We had a lot of PRs through out the team. Our next track meet in next Thursday which is regions.

Good Morning, The Newell High School Athletic Banquet is scheduled for May 9th starting at 6:30. Parents and student/athletes we hope to see all of you there to help recognize the accomplishments of the Newell High School athletes. Once again the meat will be provide, so please bring the items listed below. The Banquet will be hosted in the Middle School Gym. Middle School -10th grade- Side Dish 11-12th grade – Salads Thanks in advance – We will also be inducting the first class into the Newell Athletic Hall of fame.

Our mathletes are getting ready for their competition at the SD SM&T campus.

The High School Track meet tomorrow, Tuesday May 7th in Rapid City has been cancelled. There will be no make up day.

ELEMENTARY BB CAMP

All volunteers for Play day May 9th we will have a short meeting on the football field at 8:00 am May 9th

The track team had a great showing today in Kadoka! McKaLee Mahaffy got 4th is discus throwing a 103'10! Liz Philipsen got 5th in shot put. Kyla Emmert placed 8th in high jump. Boys team got 6th in the 4x100M relay, 3rd in the medley relay, and Garrett Winkler got 6th in the 3200meter run. Great job today everyone.
