Congratulations to the 2020 Newell Education Association (NEA) Scholarship winners, Austin Alexander and John Jackson!
It has come to my attention I need to clarify who may attend graduation. It is NOT a total of 4 people per student. It is parents and spouses, with the understanding that some graduates have parents who are not together. Yes, this means some graduates will only have 1-2 people with them, some might have 4, but the guests are to only be parents/guardians and spouses. Please understand we are putting this in place for the safety of everyone who attends. AND, if you are not feeling well that day, please stay home. Thank you for understanding.

End of the School Year Info:
• The last day for the breakfast and lunch distribution from Newell school will be Thursday May 14.
• Final check out days for all grade levels will be Monday May 18th and Tuesday May 19 will be Newell School
• We are again asking families to follow an alphabetical schedule to reduce the number of people in the buildings at any time.
• If you are not feeling well, please do not come to the school. Please respect the 6-foot distance from others.
• Schedule:
o Families with last names starting with A-E Monday May 18 from 7:30-10 a.m.
o Families with last names starting with F-J Monday May 18 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
o Families with last names starting with K-M May 18 from 1:00-4:00 p.m.
o Families with last names starting with N-S Tuesday May 19 7:30-10:00 a.m.
o Families with last names starting with T-Z on Tuesday May 19 from 10:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
• Elementary check out will be in their classroom. Middle School and High School students start with your Drive Time teacher to receive your check out sheet.
• All families need to return all school items including computers, books, key cards.
• All fees must be paid during check-out. This includes activity transportation fees for MS and HS activities, lunch bills, lost library book fees and lost key cards.
• Families who received free internet from West River Cooperative should bring their router to the school to Mrs. Dutt’s office. Free internet will be disconnected May 20.
• Once again, if you are not feeling well, please do not come to the school. Please respect the 6-foot distance from others.

Congratulations to Abbie Nelson and Huttson Weeldreyer on receiving the Brian Hallock Memorial Golf Scholarship. Thank you Diane Hallock for presenting the scholarship to them. Both are well deserving and did a lot for the golf program during their time at Newell.
