Newell School District will be opening the weight room to the public. Patrons can get a lease for the
weight room in the Newell School District K-12 office with Shannon Dirk or Pandi Pittman. Leases will be
$125 for an annual membership, key fob, and key to access the weight room. The weight room will be
open to the public Monday through Thursday 5:00 am – 7:30 am: and 5:30–10:00 pm. Friday, Saturday,
Sunday, and days that we do not have school- – 10 PM. The weight room is in the high school
basement. The weight room consists of both stationery machines and free weights.
Juniors and seniors, this is your friendly reminder to get signed up for dual credits soon if you want to take them this fall. Jayden Tesch is participating in a research experience at SDSMT. The NSF Research Experience matches high school students with university graduate students in a laboratory setting for a 6 week discovery of lithium energy storage, recycling or environmental bio-remediation. Great job Jayden!
