8th Grade Families! Join us next Monday from 10:15-11:00 am for our Agriculture Wax Museum in the MS Gym. Please make sure to sign in at the office when you arrive. Students will be dressed up as a person who has made an impact on agriculture in some way, you will be able to go from student to student and hear facts about their chosen person.

Learning can be messy—and that’s okay! Our Kindergarten students had a blast using shaving cream to practice recognizing numbers and writing them with their fingers. A fun, hands-on way to make math learning memorable!

Kurt and Dawn Olson, owners of the Blue Line Diner, believe that it is important that every elementary child receives a free book on the first day of school to build their own home libraries and to learn and strengthen their reading skills. Lady Irrigators Volleyball Fundraiser is here! 1/2 beef processed at Midwestern Meat Locker in Newell. Big thank you to HL Brunner & Sons for supporting our team! Drawing is Sept. 10th. $20/ticket or $100/6 tickets.

Mrs. Geppert's 8th-grade class has been working on team building and communication skills. On Thursday, they did back-to-back drawings and led each other through a "minefield," and today they worked on putting together puzzles without knowing what the puzzle looked like! Students voiced what they learned, saying that clear directions and communication help, and that less outside noise helps them stay focused.

Please note the following important changes:
-Friday, October 2 will be an early-release day for students, including the Homecoming parade.
-Friday, September 18 will now be an off day for the district, and staff will not report to school that day.

You can now find the school breakfast and lunch menus at the top of the website and sports schedules in the middle. If there are any changes to the menus, we'll update them as soon as we receive them. The arrows point to where you can find the updates. Thank you!

We are looking forward to kicking off the 2026-2027 school year with all the students tomorrow for our first day of school!

We would like to thank everyone who came to the school yesterday to help with the water clean up! The school is very lucky to have a Newell army that can show up on a minutes notice & take on mother nature. Everything is looking great & we will be ready for the first day... again. WE ARE NEWELL!
