\r\n

South Dakota State University announced exciting news yesterday about two new dual credit scholarship programs; the official news release can be viewed at https://www.sdstate.edu/news/2020/03/sdsu-launches-dual-credit-scholarships-including-one-low-income-students.

\r\n

The two scholarship programs include:

\r\n

Jackrabbit ACE Scholarship – Availability starts for the fall 2020 semester

\r\n

The Access College Early (ACE) Scholarship is available to economically disadvantaged juniors and seniors to allow a pathway for these students to participate in the SD dual credit program. Students who meet specific criteria as juniors and seniors will be able to receive a scholarship for the cost of one dual credit course (up to 5 credits) each semester of their junior and senior year (and the summer in between, if desired). Students need to meet economic requirements to be eligible and must meet standard dual credit eligibility requirements academically.

\r\n

Jackrabbit Journey Scholarship – Available for 2021 HS Grads, to be used starting fall 2021 at SDSU

\r\n

The Jackrabbit Journey Scholarship is available to any SD high school student who completed SDSU dual credit courses through the South Dakota HS Dual Credit program. Students who completed SDSU dual credit courses at a “C” or above level, will be eligible for a one-time SDSU scholarship as they start as a full-time, first-time student at SDSU. The dollar amount of their scholarship will be based on how many dual credits they have successfully completed – see the chart included in the attached brochure or at the link below.

More information regarding the high school dual credit program and these scholarships can be found online at sdstate.edu/dualcredit.  Specific information about these new dual credit scholarships and the application for Jackrabbit ACE can be found here: https://www.sdstate.edu/continuing-distance-education/dual-credit-scholarship-opportunities.
