The 2011 Irrigator girls’ basketball team earned their place in history finishing with a perfect regular season record (20-0).  They entered the District 16B by defeating Harding Co. and Lemmon.  The Irrigator girls defeated McIntosh to claim the Region 8B title and enter the SDHSAA State B tournament as the top seed.  The Irrigators open the tourney defeating Arlington and Centerville before losing to Summit in double overtime by a score of 42-40, earning runner-up honors. 

               The team of 2011 earned many accolades over their varsity careers.  They made the SDHSAA state tourney in 2009 (3rd), 2010 (5th), and 2011 (2nd).  They were Conference (BHC/LMC) champions 3 straight years, 3-time West River Tourney Champions, 34 home game winning streak, and had a 92-8 overall record.

               The 2011 Irrigator basketball team had many members who earned school records.  Records which were earned:  Jordan – 3’s in a one-game (9), Megan – best field goal percentage (61.9%), Taylor – most assists one game (13), season assists (156), career assist (541), steals in one game (10), season steals (123), career steals (441), career rebounds (763), blocks in one game (10), points per season (16.2).  All conference awards:  1st team – Jordan, Megan, and Taylor 2nd team – Karissa.  Awards were earned by Megan and Taylor for the SDHSCA All-State team.  Awards voted on by the team were:  Defensive MVP – Cierra Boylan, Most Improved – Kristen Dunn, and Irrigator Award – Jordan Trohkimoinen.
