The Dakota Smiles Dental Mobile Unit is scheduled to come to the Newell School from January 9-13, 2017. If you want or need dental care, please fill out the forms and return immediately so the schedules may be completed. We are asking parents whose children receive their dental care at the dental mobile to donate $10 per child if possible. (Children will not be turned away due to inability to pay) Please sign up your child for the dental mobile if you don’t have a family dentist or insurance. We are aware that those on Medicaid/CHIPS have difficulty finding a dentist who will accept new patients.
The Newell Lion’s and Leo Club will be doing eye screenings the same time that the Dental Mobile is at the Newell School which is January 9-13, 2017. Eye Screenings are done as soon as possible in a child’s life, as the sooner a problem is detected the sooner correction can be made. There is NO Charge to do the screening. It is NOT an eye test but a screening. Parents are notified if there is a problem detected and it would be up to the parent to take the child to an eye doctor if they chose.
